Start IT Goes International
New contract won in Port Moresby, with the client implementing QuickBooks Retail Point of Sale to track their stock items as well as full back of house financial reporting.
Following recent requests for the services of Start IT in Papua New Guinea Start IT, has now implemented a permanent scheduled service facility in both Madang and Goroka. The local businesses have been extremely happy with the friendly cost effective solutions Start IT provide.
ATO steps up small business activity
The ATO is allocating tens of millions of dollars to meet the cost of its program of visits to small businesses, with more than 30,000 calls and visits expected to be made over the next four years.
This year the small business compliance program is expected to focus on cash transactions for businesses such as landscape gardeners, mechanics and cleaners.
The ATO is also stepping up its collection of unpaid tax debts and unpaid superannuation guarantee charges by small businesses. Businesses owe billions of dollars to the ATO with an estimated two thirds of small business debt owed by businesses with an annual turnover of less than $2 million. These are also the businesses with the highest failure rate.
